I love my veggies, but there are only so many ways to prepare and season them. I get bored with them easily. I started adding one of my favorite seasonings to some pan cooked veggies and loved the results. I have always liked garlic pepper, but the store bought one I used to get would always clump up on me. Tastefully Simple has their own all natural version that is a finer grade than most store bought types. It never clumps! It also adds a ton of flavor to whatever I’m preparing. I hope you try out these recipes and enjoy them.
Garlic Pepper Spinach on the Stove Top
A large bag of ready to cook Popeye spinach
2 tbsps butter
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp garlic pepper seasoning
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tsp lemon juice
1 – 2 tsp salt
Add the olive oil and 1 tbsp butter to a large saute pan and heat over medium to high heat until butter melts. Add in half of the spinach. Stir until it begins to wilt and you have room in the pan for the rest. Add the remaining spinach, salt & garlic pepper. Stir frequently until cooked through (it won’t take long) and then add in the other tbsp of butter. Stir and add in the balsamic vinegar and lemon juice. Taste and add more salt and pepper if needed. Cover and keep warm until the rest of your meal is ready. Scrumptious.

Garlic Pepper Zucchini
One of the quickest side dishes to make. Just cut 3 zucchini into thick chunks. Saute the zucchini for 6-8 minutes (stirring often) in a couple of drizzles of olive oil and season with salt + garlic pepper from Tastefully Simple + a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if you like a bit of heat.. This is a yummy accompaniment to any main dish.
