Surprise! Tasty Tuesday comes early…! 🙂
This post was originally going to be dedicated to the fabulous lobster rolls I had at Neptune Oyster during my visit to Boston, Ma earlier this year. I changed my mind and decided to post all the seafood goodness I explored at the tiny restaurant-Neptune Oyster.
The lobster rolls were my most favorite and though the hot lobster roll isn’t traditional to the area…I’d pick that one as the top roll. I think the cold one is good for lunch and the hot is great for dinner!
This was not only my 1st time trying a lobster roll, but my 1st time tasting oysters. I must admit…I do love them. I mean when you throw the flavors of salt, lemon and spice onto anything edible…I’m there! The last thing I tried was fried clams. The clams were unlike any other fried thing I’ve tried. They were tender & almost sweet.
The tarter sauce at Neptune Oyster was so good that our little group all dipped our fries in it. We couldn’t get enough. I personally went a bit further and squeezed lemon juice all over my fries before dipping them in the tarter sauce. It was heavenly.
There was one thing we didn’t order and wished we would have…the seafood chowder. Somebody sitting right beside us got it and we could smell the wonderful broth…it didn’t help that he kept oooooing and awwwwwing over it! If you’re ever in Boston I highly recommend this restaurant.
Let’s start with the lobster rolls since they were to die for! Please do yourself a favor and click each photo to enlarge it. The tastiness is seen better when the photo is LARGE. 🙂
Cold Lobster Roll (more traditional)
Hot Lobster Roll-add some lemon & salt to the buttery & luscious lobster and you’re good to go!
Look at the perfectly grilled “bun”! YUM!
Onto the pleasant flavors of the succulent oysters. Don’t worry…I had plenty more than just these two! 😉
Do you like garlic? Creamy? Roasted? Melt in your mouth type garlic? If so, this next dish was made for you (and me). WOW!
If there’s good food…I’m all over it. These homemade apple chips (on the right of the perfectly prepared raw fish) had me smiling-A LOT! 🙂
And…then there was the fried clams. These might not be good for you, but they taste 100 times better than good.
Do you think we ordered enough to eat?
